Lea County Horse College

This program is a series, and will meet monthly. Each month we will be building on skills from the previous month. We ask that you attempt to attend every month to learn everything you can about horses. If you miss a meeting, please get with one of the committee members to get any information you might have missed. Each month we will have some classroom work and some riding/saddle time. Most of the meetings will last about 2-3 hours. However, some will last an entire day! All of the programs will be held on the NMJC Campus in the Equine Facilities.

As a project club of Lea County 4-H, you will be required to attend your regular club meetings and stay in compliance with all Lea County 4-H rules. The Horse College meetings are to assist you in learning about the Horses and the Horse Project, not just how to ride. At each meeting you will need to come prepared with your horse, your tack/equipment and yourself.
