Lets Get Scrappy

Learn to organize and use your fabric scraps for fun projects. There are 3 sessions left!
May 18, 2022 Create a Scrappy Star Quilt using different sizes of squares and half square triangles to create a two dimensional star. The finished quilt is a wall hanging.
June 9, 2022 Create a Scrappy Strip Quilt using strips and squares to create a scrappy quilt with fun pinwheels. This quilt can be lap size to bed size.
July 21, 2022 Create a Zippered Bag or Notebook Cover using ophaned blocks. Add some borders and extra fabric to the blocks to create a fun notebook cover or zippered bag.

Healthy Cooking Class Series

Have you struggled with losing weight? Do you want to make life changes that involve how you choose, cook and consume food? This class is for you! Learn Healthy Cooking Techniques, Meal Planning and Budgeting, Portion Control as well as learn some basic walking and stretching exercises from the Arthritis Foundation.
The Cooking School is a weekly series of 6 lessons beginning June 7, 2022. Registration is required and space is limited! Call the extension office to sign up at 575-396-2819 or email Robin at rmack@nmsu.edu.

Youth Canning Workshop

Water Bath Canning Workshop
Learn to home can low acid foods with Water Bath Canning Methods. This simple way to preserve foods like Fruits, Jams or Jellies, Pickles and Salsa is great for a beginner.
